About UP: Rising Stars

For years a national leader in students earning Fulbright grants, volunteering with the Peace Corps, and studying abroad, the University of Portland has unleashed countless bright, talented, and ambitious young graduates into the world. And they are already making a difference.

The Rising Stars series highlights some of the incredible achievements of these young UP alumni: combating human trafficking in Cambodia; stopping nuclear proliferation in Asia; researching fossils in Africa to help understand climate change; studying cutting-edge brain science in England; and much, much more.

These young alumni have taken what they’ve learned on The Bluff and are making a true global impact.
