Student Activities: Diversity Committee

The UP Diversity Committee is currently recruiting students interested in creating programs that address a variety of diversity issues.

Who we are:

We, the Diversity Committee (co-sponsored by the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Student Activities), seek to foster a safe and welcoming environment that celebrates the uniqueness of all individuals in our University of Portland community.

We aim to create awareness, understanding, and ultimately, respect of each individual through educational programming, invitations to open conversation and all other approaches and methods that contribute to this goal.

What we do:

Implement diversity panels, provide speakers on diversity topics, and create other multicultural programs.
