Student Activities: [Last Year's] Ohana Schedule 2012

Multicultural Programs in the Office of Student Activities will host a maximum of 35 new UP multicultural students during the Ohana 2012 pre-orientation program. Students must apply to be apart of this program and registration will be available below sometime in May/June 2012.

The Ohana program takes place at Canyonview Retreat Center in Silverton, Oregon from Tuesday, August 21 until Thursday, August 23, 2012.  Students establish new friendships, build leadership skills, and learn ways to get involved on campus, and have fun!

Below is a schedule and details of the Ohana 2012 experience.

11:45am Ohana Closing Luncheon--Parents and families are welcome to attend! LOCATION: Ohana Luncheon will be located under a tent on the back patio of the Commons (behind the building, on the bluff side).

Important Details:

  • Registration deadline is June 28, 2012 and is on a first come, first served basis. Don’t delay registering!  The Office of Student Activities will confirm your registration. You cannot participate unless you receive a registration confirmation.
  • As soon as we receive your completed registration, details will be sent regarding arrival information, what to bring, and a complete schedule.
  • Students need to arrive at UP the morning of Tuesday, August 21 to complete registration and depart for Menucha.  They will return to UP the afternoon of Thursday, August 23.  Freshmen Orientation begins that Thursday afternoon, August 23.
  • The program concludes with a luncheon celebration on Thursday, August 23 at 11:45 a.m. (tentative time). Parents are invited to attend.
  • Special Needs: Please contact us with any special dietary needs or ADA accommodations necessary to allow for your full participation by August 6, 2012.
