Student Activities: Espresso UP

ASUP provides a free “latte break” on Wednesday evenings in St. Mary’s Lounge, sometimes accompanied by an informal activity or informal entertainment. Espresso UP is coordinated by a student director who reports to the Office of Student Activities and the ASUP president. This individual also supervises a student staff of baristas.  Espresso UP baristas also provide coffee during CPB coffeehouses, generally occurring twice each semester on Friday nights.

Espresso UP operates two professional-grade espresso machines, providing the following products: 

Drip Coffee

Tea

Hot Cocoa

Italian soda

Latte

Mocha

Chai tea

Americano

A large variety of flavored syrups

Half and half, fat free, and whole milk

Interested in becoming a barista?  The application process occurs in the early Fall Semester.  Students with past barista experience will be given preference.  Check the Student Activities website and the Human Resources website for job announcements.
