Admissions: Freshman Application Deadlines and Checklist
Please Note: Applicants interested in nursing must complete one year of chemistry by the end of their senior year and must declare nursing as their intended major on the application.
UP operates with rolling admissions for freshmen applicants beginning September 1. Because acceptance spots are filled quickly, we highly encourage students to apply well in advance of our January 15 final deadline. The Office of Admissions will begin the evaluation process for each individual applicant as soon the application is complete.
Accepted students who wish to attend UP the upcoming fall must confirm their enrollment by May 2 (postmark date).
Homeschooled Students: Fulfill the same application criteria as listed above: a completed application, an official transcript, SAT and/or ACT scores, and a letter of recommendation. For a home school transcript to be considered official, it must list each individual class taken in freshman through senior years, it must provide a letter grade (A – F) for each completed class (including those taken at a high school or community college) and it must be signed and dated by the primary educator. The letter of recommendation for a home school student must come from a non-related adult with whom the student has had significant interaction (coaches, clergy, scout and other youth leaders, employers, etc.).
