Carmen Gaston '96 became director of alumni relations in May 2006. Prior to her appointment as director, Carmen was a major gifts officer in the University's development office. Anna Lageson-Kerns '83 is the associate director for alumni marketing in the Office of Alumni Relations. Before joining the alumni staff, Anna worked at KGW-Television in Portland, holding several positions, most recently that of art director. She also free-lanced through her own graphic design business, Anna Banana Designs. Alumni who graduated during the 1980s and prior, including those who attended Columba Prep and ColumbiaUniversity can contact Anna to get information about events, reunions, and service opportunities; to submit class notes; or just to stay in touch. Parents of current students are also welcome to contact Anna about alumni events, benefits and programs. Anna encourages all alumni to contact her or to drop by for a visit. | Ken Hallenius |
| Ken Hallenius is the associate director, working with young alumni (graduates of the last decade). Prior to joining alumni relations, Ken worked for six years in residence life, including four years as director of Haggerty & Tyson Halls and two years as the assistant director of Kenna Hall. Before coming to UP, Ken spent two years in Oakland, California as a member of the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans). He also has worked in software quality assurance, and as a volunteer youth minister. He is finishing an M.A. in Philosophy from Harrison Middleton University, with an emphasis on Virtue Ethics. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, and also studied history at Saint Meinrad College Seminary, Indiana. | Caitlin MacMillen '08 |
| Caitlin graduated from the University of Portland in May 2008, and worked in the North Portland community at Roosevelt High School in the Community Advancement office. She is originally from Missoula, Montana and enjoys watching and participating in sporting events. Currently, Caitlin is in the MBA program at the University of Portland.
