Alumni: Service Programs
As a student, the mantra of "teaching, faith & service" was a part of everything. Although you are no longer on campus, giving back to your community is a great way to show appreciation for all the wonderful things you learned while in school at the University of Portland. The Office of Alumni Relations offers
the following service opportunities and encourages your participation. Please
contact the Office of Alumni Relations and/or your National Alumni Board members
if you would like a service opportunity to be added in your area. Below are the current service opportunities available to University alumni:
Join fellow alumni in preparing and serving a meal at the St. Vincent de Paul Downtown Chapel in
. Invite your former classmates to follow the University’s call to service every third Friday afternoon of each month. Join one or both of the following sessions: Food preparation from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, or Serving from 6:30 PM-9:00 PM. For more information on serving at the Brother Andre Cafe, please visit the Alumni Events. Portland
Alumni across the country gather with other members of their local alumni chapters on the last Saturday in April for the annual National Day of Service. Projects range from providing meals at homeless shelters to organizing food baskets for local relief kitchens, from building and repairing homes to working with children. Contact your National Alumni Board representative or if you don’t have one, organize your own outing. Your help and ideas are always welcome. As always, for more information, contact the Office of Alumni Relations.
