Academic Technology Services: Moodle

Moodle Logo Moodle is an online learning management system (LMS) which University students and faculty can use to continue learning and interacting outside of the classroom environment.   At the University of Portland every course is automatically created in Moodle.  This means that it is very easy for a faculty member to start using Moodle to enhance their face to face class. 

Some common uses for Moodle at UP

  • Posting of the course syllabus
  • Posting of assignments
  • Posting of web based resources
  • Forums for class discuss
  • Quizzes

Logging into Moodle

  1. Visit pilots.up.edu
  2. Login with your UP account information
  3. Click on the Moodle tab

content in Moodle and associated tools such as iTunes U:
