Academic Technology Services: How to Purchase Software
Please use the following steps to purchase new software products for computer labs and classrooms.
- Determine what software package you want. Contact Sheila Smith to determine if the University already owns this software.
- If the University does not own the software, research vendor and price information. For help with this step please contact Janice Lundborg, the Technical Procurment Coordinator.
- Send the following information to Janice Lundborg and she will create the purchase order.
- Product name and version
- Vendor with contact information
- An email from the department budget director authorizing the purchase.
- Budget account number
Fill out the Lab/Classroom request form to have it installed in the locations you want.

- Please remember that all Lab/Classroom installs are subject to the bi-yearly “Call for Software” timeline.
