Volunteer Opportunities: We actively support, with our time and treasures, the Good Samaritan Center of North Portland (8160 N Jersey) a local, emergency food pantry in the Oregon Food Bank network – distribution times: Mondays and Thursdays, 1pm – 3pm (they always need help in assembling food boxes).
Programs: North Portland Neighborhood Clinic (blood pressures, flu vaccinations, health education, evaluation and referrals, special foot care – Wednesdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm;
Janus Youth Pantry Project, teaching at-risk teens to cook – one Wednesday a month, 1pm – 4pm; Weight Watchers, Wednesdays, 5pm – 6:30pm;
Happy Place Indoor Play Park, children 5 and under with parent/guardian – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9:30am – 12:30pm
