Campus Ministry: Joining the Catholic Church
Individuals discover and desire to profess their belief in God at various stages in life.
Some individuals desire to inquire into what it means to believe in God. This man or woman has never been baptized into the Christian faith. However, as one continues to seek and to find answers, the process may or may not lead to making the decision to be baptized and profess a belief in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
Other individuals do believe in God but have not found a completeness in their particular system of beliefs. This man or woman has been baptized into the Christian faith but is curious about what Catholics believe. This process may or may not lead the person to make a profession of faith in the Catholic Church. This process is called the Profession of Faith for already baptized Christians.
