Campus Ministry: Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers serve as leaders of prayer among the worshipping assembly at Mass, both at Christ the Teacher Chapel and Hall Masses, as they help the clergy to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ as extraordinary ministers of the sacrament. This ministry is a testimony to one’s Catholic Faith and is understood as a public witness of faith. In the course of their ministry, most Eucharistic Ministers discover a greater appreciation of the Lord’s presence in the Eucharist and a closer relationship with the Lord.
Training sessions for Eucharistic Ministers take place at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. A student coordinator assists with the training and ongoing formation of Eucharistic Ministers as well as finding substitutes in scheduling.
If this ministry interests you, please contact Anthony Paz, ext. 7863 or in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher.
