Center for Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneur Scholars

Entrepreneur Scholars (E-Scholars) is a select group of University of Portland undergraduate students who create new business ventures or develop and implement strategies to improve existing enterprises. This competitive program provides classroom activity and applied experience, including travel abroad, to expose students to new and different ways of doing business.

Through this program, students develop skills to compete in the global business environment when they meet with international business leaders on their travels abroad. They interact with America’s best entrepreneurs to learn business strategies. They design, implement, and lead a business project that aims to be the best of its kind in the world. They are treated to guest lectures in the classroom and a year-long series of business workshops held by some of the Northwest’s most successful business leaders.

Undergraduate students may download the E-Scholars application, recommendation form and judicial check form, using the links at the left.  Please submit a completed application to the Center for Entrepreneurship by the end of November 2009 to be considered for the E-Scholar's class of 2010-2011.
