Can't live without: Fruit and nature. Favorite place on campus: The Marian Garden between the Chapel and the bell tower.
Love going to school in Portland because: The city’s dynamic culture, environmental awareness, creativity, innovation, and proximity to outdoor opportunities.
Favorite food cart: The Gourmet PB&J food cart on 23rd Avenue.
Kombucha or coffee: Water
Dream Job: Cultural Anthropologist because I want to learn from the wisdom of every culture. Each culture has so many unique gifts to offer that can be overlooked when we focus too much on our own culture.
Talk about how leadership fits into your UP education: Leadership fits into my University of Portland education in many ways. I am able to lead both inside and outside the classroom. Outside the class, I have led service opportunities as a Service and Justice Coordinator, Residence Life programs as a Resident Assistant, and Campus Ministry programs with the RCIA team. In the classroom, I lead by participating in discussions and thinking critically about what I am learning. I am able to lead in many applied ways, though most of my leadership comes by modeling, maintaining, and living certain values.
