Talk about how leadership fits into your University of Portland education: Service and Leadership comprise one component of the three areas of education taught at University of Portland. I see leadership all the time in my education at UP; whether it be during my time spent as an orientation assistant welcoming new students, or helping a lost visitor find where Waldschmidt is, or taking on an executive role in a club, leadership is everywhere. And it is contagious. There are so many strong, hungry leaders on campus that when you see one person stepping up, it makes you want to do the same thing. A smaller student body allows you to feel confident taking whatever initiative you have. The bottom line is that if you are on campus at the University of Portland, you cannot escape seeing or being a leader.
