Events: Welcome

The Office of University Events strives to promote University of Portland's mission as it plans, manages, implements and oversees a variety of events for internal and external audiences.

Major events include: Commencement Weekend, Alumni Reunion, Junior Parents Weekend, Freshman Orientation, and Founders Day. University events also oversees various building dedications, concerts and festivals, lectures, dignitary visits, athletic pre-game events, literacy and job fairs, academic competitions, and numerous conferences.

University Events is the central source  for reserving rooms and resources for campus events.  Locations may be reserved for use on a first come first served basis, if they are not being used for academic classes, using the campus reservation tool, EMS.

Faculty/Staff 
University of Portland faculty and staff must use EMS to check on location availability and to request a room location or media resource. If you are new to the system, please request an account. Your log-in information will match your network username and password.

Catering
Catering at University of Portland is provided by Bon Appetit Management Company.  All catering must be provided by Bon Appetit. If you are hosting an event on campus, please reach out to the catering department by calling (503) 943-7330. A catering manager will work with you to create a menu that is appropriate for your event. Please be aware that you must have a location reservation to place a catering order.
