A high-quality, personalized education at the University of Portland is an investment in each student’s future success. We recognize that some students and their families may need assistance to meet some of their college costs.

We encourage all students who apply to the University of Portland to also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which allows us to consider you for financial aid. The role of the Office of Financial Aid is to try to help fill the gap that exists between the cost of attendance and funds available from your family.
While we try to meet as much of your financial need as possible, funding is limited. In order to take full advantage of the aid programs available at the University of Portland and to receive maximum consideration of your funding needs, important timelines and procedures must be followed. This site is designed to assist you and your family with that process.

We welcome students and families anytime during business hours. The Office of Financial Aid is located on the ground floor of Waldschmidt Hall, we are open Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm; closed weekends and holidays. If you are unable to get your questions answered at the counter, counselors are available by appointment, Monday thru Friday, 9am-4pm.
