Garaventa Center: The American Experiment - Religious Freedom Conference
April 12 – 14, 2007
The Garaventa Center was pleased to have Justice Antonin Scalia, United States Supreme Court, deliver the keynote address at the conference. The purpose of the conference was to examine the meaning of religious freedom and the protections given to that freedom in the history of our nation. The conference theme had its source in the identity of the University of Portland as a Catholic, Holy Cross, and American institution of higher learning.
Note: The Oregon State Bar MCLE office approved this conference for (10) credits.
