Willamette Blvd. The movie and presentation are free and open to the public.
&lt;p&gt;In the Bringing Eyes of Faith to Film series, hosts Fr. Charlie Gordon, C.S.C., of the University&amp;#8217;s theology department, and Karen Eifler, of the University&amp;#8217;s School of Education, screen recently released popular movies, preceded by brief comments illuminating themes of grace, transcendence, and redemption found in these unexpected places. Thomas Hosinski, C.S.C., will discuss the &lt;span&gt;possibilities surrounding the integration of science and faith when they present &amp;#8220;Science and Religion&amp;#8221; on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 4 p.m., in Buckley Center room 163 on the University campus, 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. Their talk, which is sponsored by the Garaventa Center for Catholic Intellectual Life and American Culture, is free and open to the public. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Mayer is a professor of physics and Hosinski is a professor of theology who specializes in the dialogue between science and religion. Willamette Blvd. Her talk is free and open to the public.
&lt;p&gt;Hogan&amp;#8217;s presentation will provide a framework to consider the costs and the limits of resistance. Her lecture will include the Thomas Aquinas&amp;#8217; teachings on obedience; examples of resistance in recent history including the Kreisau Circle and its opposition to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party during WWII; and present day religious liberty. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hogan is the founding executive director of the University of Portland&amp;#8217;s Garaventa Center for Catholic Intellectual Life and American Culture.
