Among the topics explored were: the intrinsic worth and dignity of every human being, the equitable distribution of the goods of the earth, the social responsibility of business, the care of the earth, children and poverty, abortion, war, terrorism, pacifism, capital punishment, physician assisted suicide, the transformative power of the culture, and the revitalization of colleges and universities.
