Graduate School: Thesis
Policy for Acceptance and Binding of Thesis
- The candidate will present to the Dean of the Graduate School one original copy of the thesis, in a finished, unbound, fully approved version (the student is responsible for obtaining all necessary signatures for the title page of the thesis) and one digital copy (provided on a CD in PDF format accompanied by a completed Thesis Author Statement of Understanding form - the PDF copy is to be an exact copy of the original, including the signed signature page). The copy will conform to the stylistic guidelines adopted by the respective graduate program and will be printed on 20 lb paper with a minimum 25% rag/cotten content.
- The candidate will also present with this copy payment of a fee to cover the cost of binding the thesis.
- The Dean of the Graduate School, after approving the thesis, will arrange for the binding and distribution of the thesis. Generally, the time required for binding is five to six weeks.
- The original hardbound copy of the thesis will go to the thesis chair and the digital copy will go to the library.
- The candidate may present additional copies for binding for personal use along with funds to pay the cost. (Soft bound copies are available for personal distribution.)

Deadline for submittal of approved theses is two weeks before the date of graduation.
Thesis Costs:
Hardbound: $12.50 each (one hardbound copy is required)
