Health Center
Prescriptions
Our nurse practitioners can write prescriptions for most medications needed to manage both acute and chronic conditions. These prescriptions can only be filled in the state of Oregon, however, so if you are planning to travel out of state you would need to fill the prescription before leaving.

The Health Center keeps stock bottles of a few medications, such as some antibiotics, so that we can get a student started on the initial dose of a medication before they need to get to a pharmacy to get their prescription filled.
We also stock some over-the-counter medications that students can purchase at the time of their clinic visit if they do not have them already. If necessary, the student can charge the medication to their student account. We dispense over-the-counter medications to students only at the time of their appointment with one of the nurse practitioners.
