Kenna Hall was originally called Holy Cross Hall when it opened in 1959 as a men’s dormitory. The building was re-named in 1973 to honor the University’s 14th president, the Rev. Howard J. Kenna, C.S.C., and it served as a women’s hall for a short time in the 1980s. Today the building features the University's only sauna, as well as a pottery lab, a renovated basement lounge with pool and foosball tables, and a fireplace. The hall is home to just over 200 women who live in its 106 rooms, each of which has direct access to the Internet. The building also houses the University’s Air Force ROTC offices.
