Haggerty and Tyson Halls are two, coed “apartment-style” student residences for upper-class students. Each unit houses between four and 17 students and has kitchenette facilities, shared bathrooms, and private laundry facilities, as well as direct access to the Internet in each room
Haggerty Hall is named for Lawrence and Mary Ellen Haggerty, parents of Peggy Haggerty a university regent who passed away in 2010, who provided primary funding for the building’s construction. The building also has a common area for students
Tyson Hall is named for the Rev. David Tyson, C.S.C., the University's 18th president, who oversaw one of the most remarkable growth periods in the University of Portland's history.
