Audiovisual equipment and services are available for checkout to staff and faculty only at the Media Services desk located in Buckley Center (BC) 18. Equipment such as overhead projectors, slide projectors, audio recording and playback decks, ipod recording kits, camcorders, cameras, video (computer) projectors, screens, smart carts easels, flip charts, and laptop computers may be checked out or scheduled for delivery. Additional services include production assistance with instructional media materials (e.g., audio tape recording, duplication, videotape duplication, editing).
Semester long, standing orders should be made a week before the semester begins, while one-time orders should be made at least 48 hours in advance. All requests are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Policy Change, effective February 1, 2015:
Due to a steady increase of campus events occurring outside of the hours of operation for Media Services, a change in service policy will begin on midnight of January 31st, 2015. After this date, all labor services provided by Media Services outside of core hours, will incur a $20.00 per man-hour labor charge with a two-hour minimum. Equipment rental will remain free of charge for on campus groups, faculty and staff. All events, regardless of booking date, that occur on or after the 1st of February 2015 will have labor charges if the event occurs outside of Media Services core hours of operation. Events are defined as activities or functions that are sponsored by a group within or outside of the University community and in or outside of the scope of support of in-class academics.
