International Student Services: ISS Staff

Michael Pelley, Director

As Director, Michael Pelley serves as an advisor for international students as well as a resource person and administrator for all matters related to international students at the University. He earned his BS in History from the University of Oregon and has lived and worked in Japan, Taiwan, and on the island of Yap. Michael has traveled extensively around Asia and Oceania.

Krista Kennedy, Assistant Director

As Assistant Director, Krista Kennedy is the advisor of the International Club, administers international programs, evaluates undergraduate admission transcripts, and advises students with academic, personal, or immigration concerns. Krista earned her BA in Japanese and International Studies at Pacific University. She has studied in Japan, and has worked there as an English teacher in the JET program. She has also traveled in Thailand and France.

Gwen Guderjohn, Program Assistant

As Program Assistant working in the front office, Gwen Guderjohn is the first one who greets you when you come in the office. Gwen assists students when they apply to the University, and helps them integrate in to the University community.  A native of Spokane, WA, Gwen completed her BA in International Studies and Spanish at California Lutheran University. She has studied abroad in Cádiz, Spain and worked as an English teacher in Shen Zhen, China.
