Ape Cave Day Trip (Saturday, April 6th)

Thanks to your input this spring, we have decided to visit the Ape Cave lava tube in Washington!

The Ape Cave, was formed by lava flow from the Mt. St. Helen's volcano about 2,000 years ago, and now is the longest continuous lava tube in the continental US. Join us for a day trip to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. We will take the stairway entrance into the cave and do some exploring in and around the cave.

Trip Details:
Saturday, April 6th
10:45am Meet us by the fireplace in the Commons after eating breakfast.
11:00am Depart from Campus for the Ape Cave
3:30pm Depart Ape Cave and return to Campus

Cost: $5.00 for Trip costs + Bring your own lunch

...Does the thought of looking for work as an international student seem intimidating?

Then you need to come to Jump Start Your Job Search on Friday, March 22 from 11:30-1:00pm. Bring your lunch and get your questions answered!

We will focus on looking for work as an international student. You’ll learn how you can "sell" your strengths to potential employee to maximize your international status. Advantages and disadvantages of getting a job with as an international student will also be covered.

This event will feature Amy Cavanaugh from the Career Services. An international student alumni who now works in the US will also share their experience.

Timbers MLS Game (Sunday, April 14th)

The Portland Timbers are our hometown Major League Soccer team, and the Timbers Army are the passionate and active fan supporters of the team. Join the Campus Connector, Sunday, April 14th, for an exciting match against the San Jose Earthquakes.

Trip Details:
Sunday, April 14th
6:00pm Meet at the Bus 35 stop by Public Safety (6:11pm bus)
7:30pm Match Kick-off at Jeld-Wen Field
9:30pm Depart Jeld-Wen Field and return to campus

Cost: $10.00 for discounted Timbers ticket in the Timbers Army section + $5.00 for bus fare

What to Bring:
-Wear Green and Yellow (the Timbers colors)
-Rain jacket (the stadium is open-air)
-Camera
