The University's annual Scholarship Luncheon, which used to be a small loud affair, is now a realllly big loud affair that fills the Chiles Center every spring. It's a rare, poignant, funny, sweet couple of hours during which the men and women who have endowed scholarships on The Bluff meet and dine and talk with the young, tall, bright, riveting women and men who could not savor their educations at the University of Portland without the generosity of the people at their tables.
