University of Portland associate dean Carol Craig named in the “Top 100 Nursing Professors in 2012”
Craig’s passion for nursing encompasses many areas of which include community health, chronic illness, and rural health. Her current research is how families manage end of life care in rural areas. She also enjoys teaching the next generation of nurses to be extraordinary practitioners wherever they may choose to work.
The organization BSNtoMSN.org considered a variety of factors when making their “Top 100 Nursing Professors in 2012” list. After a lengthy nomination period, BSNtoMSN.org considered academic rankings of represented nursing schools, awards and recognitions the professors have earned, the quality and quantity of any academic publications associated with their work.
