The concert will feature performances by the University’s chamber ensembles, providing an opportunity for students to explore repertoire in a collaborative and highly musical manner. Ensembles that will perform include the Flute Ensemble, String Quartet, and UP Jazz Combo. A highlight of the evening will be the String Quartet’s performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s String Quartet in E minor, a piece that is a remarkable confluence of traditional compositional techniques and Romantic-era Italian styles.
