University of Portland to host Jazz Band concert Thursday, Nov. 29 in BC Auditorium
The newly formed Jazz Band combo II will begin the program with a couple of modern compositions. Then the Jazz Band combo I will perform selected songs from their recent performance at Jimmy Mak’s Jazz Club, located in downtown Portland. The Jazz Band will complete the program with six numbers. The arrangements feature music from the Buddy Rich Band, Stan Kenton Band, as well as some new music by contemporary composers.
