University of Portland to host activist and author Jeff Dietrich Thursday, January 24
For over 40 years, Dietrich has lived in community at the Los Angeles Catholic Worker House in solidarity with the poor. Through his efforts, three million meals have been provided to the homeless on L.A.’s Skid Row. He is the author of “Broken and Shared: Food, Dignity, and the Poor on LA’s Skid Row,” which is comprised of thought-provoking essays.
