The recreational services program at the University of Portland is your
source for a healthy, active lifestyle. With Howard Hall as our home
base, we give you the tools to have fun and to keep fit. Our programs
include both informal and organized activities for individuals and
groups. Most are free of charge and open to University of Portland
students, faculty and staff. Come join the fun!

The Howard Hall Recreation building was completed in 1927 as the home of University of Portland athletics.
The track in the Chiles Center is 240 meters. One mile is 6 2/3 laps
The short loop of the indoor track in the Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center is 1/12th of a mile and the long loop is 1/8th of a mile.
The pool in Howard Hall is 20 yards. One mile is 88 laps.
