Registrar: Graduation

You should file an application for graduation (follow "Apply to Graduate" link to the right) with the registrar’s office during the semester prior to the semester in which you will complete all requirements for your degree.  Failure to file by the deadline may jeopardize your anticipated graduation date. If you do not meet the requirements for graduation in the semester that you applied, you will need to re-apply for graduation the semester in which you will have completed all the requirements.

Application Deadlines

Last day to apply for Spring 2013 graduation:
    Monday, October 1, 2012

Last day to apply for Summer 2013 graduation:
     Friday, February 1, 2013

Last day to apply for Fall 2013 graduation: 
     Friday, March 1, 2013

In order to be eligible to graduate, you must complete all course work at the University of Portland by the last day of the semester, and complete any/all graduation deficiencies such as incomplete removals and acceptance of transfer credits by December 10, 2012 for Fall 2012 graduation, and by April 29, 2013 for Spring 2013 graduation, and by July 29, 2013 for Summer 2013 graduation. 

The FINAL RESPONSIBILITY for completing all requirements for a degree rests with the student.
