Registrar: Registration & Taking Classes
During advanced registration week, all currently enrolled matriculated students can bring their completed registration forms to the Office of the Registrar or their designated school or college of major for processing, according to the advance registration schedule. Registration forms are available in the main office of your school or college or the Office of the Registrar. (If you’ve been approved for on-line registration, you may register according to the advance registration schedule also.) Registration is conducted according to your class year and by the first letter of your last name. Seniors register first, followed by juniors, then sophomores and freshmen. Graduate students register at any time during the week. Non-matriculated students may begin registering the day after advance registration ends.
- Students must have their advisor sign and approve their registration form before being allowed to register.
- Students may register at the allotted time (by class year and alphabet) or later.
- Class standing is based on the number of semester credits already earned as of the day you pre-register. It does not include those credits for which you are currently registered or for which you are registering. Transfer work must have been evaluated by your department and returned to the registrar’s office before the registration period begins.
- Freshmen have earned less than 30 semester hours of credit.
- Sophomores have earned at least 30 semester hours of credit.
- Juniors have earned at least 60 semester hours of credit.
- Seniors have earned at least 90 semester hours of credit.
