Welcome to CAPP, the University’s online degree auditing system. CAPP, or Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning, is designed to show you where the courses you take fit into your academic program. CAPP is not meant to replace your advisor or the University Bulletin, but is a great reference tool to help you track your progress towards degree completion. CAPP Degree Evaluation is used to compare course work against degree requirements published in the University Bulletin. You can initiate a degree evaluation, view results, and print evaluation reports via Self-Serve on the PilotsUP portal. You can also do a "What-If-Analysis" to generate an evaluation showing what requirements have been met and what courses need to be taken if you were to change your degree program.
Important Reminders
- CAPP degree evaluations are not official. Final approval for graduation is required by the dean of your school of major.
- CAPP Degree Evaluation should not take the place of regular academic advising.
- Not all transfer work has been equated to UP classes and may not show up in the Degree Evaluation reports. Check with your advisor, or you school of major on which transfer courses count towards your degree requirements.
- Each time that you wish to run a CAPP compliance, you should generate a new evaluation so that any changes to your record will be reflected. CAPP not only utilizes courses that you have taken, but also uses current and future registrations to satisfy requirements. Of course, no course can be used toward fulfilling graduation requirements unless you pass the course with the required grade.
- CAPP can only be used for catalog years starting Fall 2003 or later.
- Not all graduate programs have been entered into CAPP yet.
