Peer Health Education

One of the Health Center’s main goals is to increase awareness of health and wellness issues, campus-wide. Health services distributes educational materials, offers regular health seminars for students, administers health alerts for the campus, and offers the Peer Health Educator program, which acts as outreach to students by using trained peers as educators. PHEs are located in the residence halls.

Campus Ministry

The Office of Campus Ministry is at the spiritual heart of the University and is an important resource for our community. The office provides you with the opportunity to worship, serve the Catholic community, receive spiritual counseling, and explore questions of faith, all within the Roman Catholic tradition. Together with the C.S.C.s and pastoral residents, Campus Ministry preserves and carries out the University’s central goal - an education of both the heart and the mind, a hallmark of the Holy Cross model of education. Office of Career Services - Major Exploration

Need help determining your interests and choosing a major? The Office of Career Services can begin working with you as early as your first year to help you find a career or graduate school path that will help you achieve your professional goals. Moreover, we will still be available after you graduate - our services are offered free of charge to all alumni. The Career Services office is located in the bottom floor of Orrico Hall and is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and evenings by appointment.

Center for Entrepreneurship

The Center for Entrepreneurship (Buckley Center Second Floor) is an award-winning organization that helps students develop entrepreneurial skills by fostering relationships between the University and the business community. Not limited to business majors, the program is designed for students from all campus disciplines. Students engage in classroom activity; meet with a variety of mentors including business owners, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs; and travel domestically and abroad to gain global perspective and ignite ideas for creative ventures. Among the Center's programs are the Entrepreneur Scholars (E-Scholars) program that helps undergraduates manage their own business ventures and the $16K Challenge that provides start-up funds for new businesses.

Math Resource Center

The Math Resource Center offers students free tutoring in their mathematics courses. Tutors are available in Franz Hall Rm. 120 for statistics, pre-calculus, business calculus, finite mathematics, calculus, and vector calculus. No appointment is necessary - students can drop by whenever they have a question. A schedule of tutors (times and subject in which they can tutor) will be distributed to every student in a math class. The center is also a good place to meet with fellow students to work on homework assignments and projects. Writing Center

When you need help with a writing assignment, look no further than the Integrated Writing Center. The center offers peer tutoring and assistance in writing across the curriculum, from nursing to fine arts to engineering. Students in the program work with a Writing Assistant in short (15-30 minutes) one-on-one sessions. All Writing Assistants are nominated by professors for their exceptional writing skills and the assistants work closely with faculty to better advise students in the program. Learning Assistance Coordinator

Located in the Health Center, the Learning Assistance Program provides training and assistance to students in developing the skills they need to succeed in classes and throughout the lifelong process of learning. Students may make appointments to meet one-on-one. Skill areas addressed by the program include time management, organization, reading comprehension, note-taking, test-taking, test anxiety, learning, and memory.
