UP professor to present “Which teacher communication abilities matter most?” Wednesday Sept. 26

University of Portland communications studies professor Jeff Kerssen-Griep will speak at noon Wednesday, Sept. 26 in Buckley Center Room 314 on campus, 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. Kerssen-Griep will be presenting “Which teacher communication abilities matter most?” as part of the Communication Studies Department’s Fall Colloquium Series.

Kerssen-Griep’s research examines skilled cross-cultural contact and how key interpersonal aptitudes sustain effective teaching-learning relationships. Kerssen-Griep is department chair of the communication studies program and teaches courses in communication theory as well as interpersonal, small group, intercultural, and barrier-crossing communication.
