Visiting professor from Australia to speak as part of the Theology Thursday series Thursday, Oct. 4

Glenn Morrison, a visiting professor from Australia, will give a lecture entitled “St. Paul and the Resurrection Effect: Applications in Pastoral Care and Ministry” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in Buckley Center Room 163 on campus, 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. The lecture is part of the University’s Theology Thursday series, and is free and open to the public.

Morrison, who is visiting the University from the University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle, will explore how St. Paul’s encounter with the Risen Christ functions as a path to ministry formation. By investigating Paul’s display of melancholy, vigilance, and spontaneity, he will suggest that Christ demands super-obedience and super-individuation for a person to learn the super-craft of love.
