Pamplin School of Business maintains prestigious AACSB accreditation

The Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland has maintained its business accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s 13,000 business programs.

Maintenance of accreditation was granted following a rigorous review and campus visit conducted by representatives from peer AACSB accredited institutions. Following this peer review, the Pamplin School of Business was specifically commended for its supportive and involved advisory boards; its excellent faculty and staff; the award-winning Entrepreneur Scholars program; the Bloomberg Trading Room; Pamplin Professional Preparation Program (P4); and the study abroad opportunities available to both undergraduate and graduate students.

“Maintaining AACSB accreditation takes a great deal of commitment and determination,” said University president Rev. E. William Beauchamp, C.S.C. “I am especially thankful for the tremendous faculty and staff at the Pamplin School of Business who are dedicated to providing world-class academic and professional development programs that continue to attract students who are bright, motivated leaders who want to change their communities and the world.”

Undergraduate programs in the Pamplin School of Business include accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation management (EIM), finance, global business, marketing and operations and technology management (OTM). Graduate degrees offered include a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Finance (MSF) and Executive MBA in Nonprofit Management (EMBA). Other graduate programs offered are a post-MBA certificate program, technology and entrepreneurship certificate, and executive education.

“AACSB accreditation is about quality, and it is our peers in this group who have affirmed the quality of our faculty, students, staff and curriculum,” said Pamplin School of Business dean Robin Anderson. “Meeting and exceeding the standards set by this international accrediting organization confirms that our students are receiving the finest education possible.”
