Children invited to HALLoween in the residence halls on Thursday, Oct. 31

Local neighborhood children and children of UP faculty and staff are invited to trick-or-treat through the University of Portland residence halls on Halloween night, Thursday Oct. 31 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. HALLoween is open to all children sixth grade and under.

This annual tradition is a great way for children and their families to enjoy Halloween in a safe and controlled environment, and the University’s resident students enjoy this fun opportunity to connect with members of their neighboring community.

All children wishing to participate in HALLoween must be accompanied by a parent/guardian . Picture identification is required upon check in for all parents/guardians. Access to the residence halls cannot be granted to those who do not have a picture ID.

All attending will be required to check in under the tent in front of the Chiles Center and receive a wrist band. G’hosts (student escorts) will direct children and families to the residence halls. Pets are not allowed in the residence halls.

Volleyball Game
Starting at 7:00 p.m. at Chiles Center there will be a University of Portland Women’s Volleyball Game. It is free for those wearing wrist bands. There will be a costume contest at halftime with prizes for best dressed.

HALLoween is sponsored by the University of Portland, UP’s Campus Program Board (CPB), the Office of Residence Life and Athletics.
