Studies Abroad: Chile Summer
The Chile Summer program will be offered every other year. The information below is for Summer 2012. The program will be offered again in 2014. Classes for 2014 will be announced in spring of 2013.
Curriculum:
Students choose two of the following courses:
· SPN 391 Chilean History and Culture- Taught by Spanish Professor in Santiago
Counts for History core class
· SPN/SOC/SW/SJP 491 Comparative Health and Social Issues in Chile

Prerequisite: SOC 101
All classes are taught in Spanish and count for upper-division Spanish credit
Spanish Prerequisite:
Students must have completed SPN 301 and 302 or the equivalent.
Cost:
The cost of the Santiago, Chile summer program will be announced in spring 2013. The cost includes tuition for six credit hours, housing and meals, excursions, and insurance. The cost does not include airfare.
Program Dates:
The program begins TBA. Students must depart by TBA.
The Experience:
Students will experience South American culture through the summer program in Santiago. This program gives students the opportunity to obtain six credits. For 2012, the program will be directed by Dr. Rogers.
Living Quarters:
Students will live with host families in Santiago.
