Studies Abroad: Toledo Summer Spanish
PLEASE NOTE: INFORMATION BELOW IS FROM SUMMER 2015
Students take one intermediate Spanish class for 6 credit hours total. Prerequisites: Spanish 101 and 102.
- SPN 205 Accelerated Intermediate Spanish – 6 credits
This course is equivalent to SPN 201 and 202 on the home campus.
Toledo has a rich heritage from the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian cultures from the early Middle Ages. Madrid is about an hour away, easily accessible by rail or bus. Students have the opportunity to develop Spanish skills in the classroom with faculty from Spain. Participants reside in the residence at the Fundación Ortega y Gasset. Meals are provided. Excursions may include trips to Madrid, Segovia, and the Route of Don Quixote. Upon their return to Portland, students will be prepared to enroll in 300-level Spanish courses.
The Summer 2015 program will begin on Thursday, May 7th, 2015 and go until Sunday, June 14th, 2015.
The program cost is $5,225. This cost includes tuition for six credit hours, housing and meals, excursions (including some meals and admissions), and insurance. The cost does not include airfare.
