Pollentia Expedition When applying for this program, write, "Pollentia Expedition" when asked for your "First choice program name." You will be asked a specific set of questions about Pollentia towards the end of the application.
Priority deadlines for all other summer 2016, fall 2016 and full-year 2016-17 programs have passed. Students who wish to apply for Summer, Fall or Full-year programs (2016-2017) should check first with the Office of Studies Abroad.

Studying abroad on UP programs is a rewarding experience. Accordingly, the application process is competitive and students do not always get into their first choice destination. Applications are evaluated on a holistic basis and the student's academic performance, disciplinary record, recommendations and essays are all considered.
For students who are eager to begin the application process, you should start thinking about these two essay prompts. Your answer to these questions will be used when evaluating your application. Consider writing several drafts of these essays in Word and saving them so that you can cut and paste your responses into the application when it goes live. The limit for the essays will be 1500 characters (approximately 250 words).
1. How have your life experiences prepared you to for the rigors of study abroad, and what will you do specifically this year to prepare yourself to reach your personal, academic, and professional goals while studying abroad as a UP student?
2. Use three separate sentences to articulate what your personal learning objectives will be on this international education experience. For each sentence, be specific, original, and use active voice and first person (e.g. I will learn how to develop my Chinese language skills to the extent that I can speak in public with confidence, collaborate with Chinese-speaking peers, and function successfully in a professional environment in China).
