Studies Abroad: Europe Summer
Students must take both courses for a total of six credits. Both classes count for upper-division credit. They may also cover core requirements.

The program cost is $6,500. This cost includes tuition for six credit hours, housing, excursions, and some meals on the excursions, admissions, London tube pass, and insurance. The cost does not include food in Salzburg or London and itdoes notinclude airfare.
Students must arrive in London by 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 , 2014. Students must depart from Salzburg by 10:00 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014.
Students will spend 17 days in London, 9 days on a study tour across Belgium, France, and Germany, and then spend 13 days in Salzburg. The program includes visits to battlefields at Ypres (Ieper), Vimy Ridge, the Somme, and Verdun. Students also visit military museums including the Royal Air Force Museum, the Imperial War Museum, and the French Army Museum (Paris), as well as the palace at Versailles.
The University of Portland Center in Salzburg is a fifteen minute walk from the city center and ten minutes from the central railway station. The center has double rooms with private bath, full kitchen and laundry facilities, library, classrooms and computers. On the tour across Europe, students will stay in hotels. In London, students will live and attend class in rented facilities.
