Students must take both courses for a total of six credits. Both classes count for upper-division credit. They may also cover core requirements.

The program cost is $5,000. This cost includes tuition for six credit hours, lodging, museum admissions, insurance, and excursions.The cost does not include food or airfare.
Students must arrive in Siena by 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15 , 2015.Students must depart from Salzburg by 10:00 a.m. Thursday,August 20, 2015.
Students will spend three and a half weeks in Siena, followed by twelve days in Salzburg.The program includes visits to Florence, Assisi, and several Tuscan hilltop towns, as well as excursions to Berchtesgaden and Burghausen in Austria.In addition, students will have the opportunity to explore Europe on their own, as Siena sits just three hours from Rome and Bologna, two hours from Pisa and Lucca, and an hour from Florence, while Salzburg is just two hours from Munich and three hours from Vienna.
Students will live in apartments in the heart of Siena and Salzburg. The University of Portland Center in Salzburg is a fifteen minute walk from the city center and ten minutes from the central railway station.The center has double rooms with private bath, full kitchen and laundry facilities, library, classrooms and computers.
