University Operations
The University Operations division includes the offices of Facilities Planning and Construction, Human Resources, Physical Plant, and Technology; Academic Technology, Technical Support, and Web and Administrative Systems. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, most reliable, contemporary services to our students, faculty, staff and University community. We work to facilitate the University's mission to be a premiere comprehensive Catholic University dedicated to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning, faith and formation, service and leadership in the classroom, residence halls and the world.
Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources provides information about what's important and new for employees working at the University of Portland. Facilities Planning and ConstructionThe Office of Facilities Planning and Construction is responsible for the management of planning, design, and construction at the University of Portland and capital improvement services to all departments within the University community. From a small renovation in an existing facility to constructing an entire new building, we strive to provide sustainable, accessible, and cost effective space planning for our faculty, staff, and students to teach, work, live, and study.
Physical PlantThe Physical Plant dedicates itself to providing the best customer service in maintaining a safe, functional, secure, comfortable, and attractive environment for the University's students, faculty, staff, and community - to allow all to prosper on The Bluff. We shall make the tenets of teaching and learning, faith and formation, and service and leadership part of everything we do.Technology
Academic Technology Services
The Office of Academic Technology Services was created in 2010 with the primary purpose of promoting and advancing the use of technology for instruction on the University campus. Our department encompasses Media Services, the computer labs, Moodle and technology training. We are here to assist in reaching your teaching and technology goals.
Technical Support
The Office of Technical Support is responsible for networking, telecommunications, information infrastructure, and technical support within the Information Services division. Areas that fall within this directorate include the Help Desk, desktop support, networking and telecommunications, systems administration, and information security.
Web and Administrative Systems
The Office of Web & Administrative Systems (WAS) provides web and data management services to the University. Along with web resource applications such as PilotsUP, WAS administers and supports the Sungard SCT BannerHE enterprise resource planning and its reporting systems for the University.
