Web & Administrative Systems: SHERPA
Sherpa is the University of Portland's custom-designed, decentralized content management system. The basic constructs of Sherpa were laid out after extensive meetings with departments, programs, schools, and the college. From these meetings, WAS understood that the University required a robust, dynamic web site development application that would handle and simplify the intricacies of web management while providing maximum content flexibility and control. These goals needed to be accomplished within a consistent design layout and navigation framework.
The University's www.up.edu domain is managed using Sherpa. Departments and offices assign one or more Sherpa 'superusers' to manage and control their department's site content. WAS provides training and support for these superusers. For more information about Sherpa, please contact WAS to request a demonstration or instruction.
