Web & Administrative Systems: Resource25 / Campus Events Online
Resource25 (R25) provides campus-wide events and resource information sharing that lets the University community to utilize a single calendar system for all academic and non-academic events. The R25 system interfaces with Banner to maintain the academic class schedule. It organizes the University’s master calendar and allows faculty and staff to enter reservation requests via PilotsUP.
If you have questions about the University's online calendaring systems, please contact web and administrative systems or refer to the Resource25 help sheet. If you have questions about scheduling an event, please contact the Office of Events at 503-943-7523.
R25 FAQ
Resource25 is developed by CollegeNet. Web and administrative systems has very limited ability to customize the functionality of R25 though we are able to modify the look somewhat. If you have suggestions for changes to improve R25, please send them to WAS. We will do our best to work with CollegeNet to include the changes in version upgrades.
A: R25 sorts and organizes campus events in a number of ways. Depending on where you are looking and how you search you can see any number of scheduled campus events.
You can search for events by using the search features in the red column on the right-hand side of the screen. You can search by name, by a specific calendar date, or you can filter the events under various categories. The default category is called the Master calendar, which includes all events except for academic classes.
You can also view events by exploring the Catalog feature. The catalog organizes events under the either departments or groups that schedule them or the type of event it is. The catalog will continue to evolve as the Events Office adds information and uses the system. The Catalog feature is found as a sub-link underneath the Events link when you have selected Events.
A: You can view campus events and spaces without logging in. However, if you would like to coordinate with the Events Office to schedule an event, you will need to log in. To do so, once you are in the entire R25/Campus Calendar, click on the “Request Event” link in the upper left menu of the R25/Campus Calendar header. This will take you to a login screen.
If you are faculty or staff, please log in using your network username and password. If you are a student, you will not be able to log in. To schedule an event, please contact your advisor or the Student Activities office and ask them to request the event for your group or organization.
A: In the header of the Campus Events window in PilotsUP there is a link that says “View Entire Calendar”. Please click on that to access R25. The view in PilotsUP is a shortened list of “hot” events geared primarily to student interests. The complete list of scheduled campus events is found once you access R25.
A: Yes. To view events scheduled for a specific space or group of spaces, click on the Locations link in the upper left hand menu bar of the R25/Campus Calendar header. Because it accesses many spaces, this might take some time depending on your network connection speed. The default view for the first locations page is a list of the spaces in Buckley Center for the current day.
You can view locations either by date or by name by clicking on either link beneath the Locations link in the upper left-hand of the header menu bar. Once in your preferred view, you can sort or search for a space using the search and filter features in the red right-hand column.
If a space is highlighted, it means it is reserved for an event. You can click on the highlighted area to learn more about that event.
A: If you would like to have your event show in the Campus Events window in PilotsUP, please tell the Events Office by typing that request into the Setup/Comments box at the bottom of the Request Event form.
A: If you do not want to have your event show in the online Campus Calendar in PilotsUP, please tell the Events Office by typing that request into the Setup/Comments box at the bottom of the Request Event form.
A: Not all resources have been coordinated yet and added into R25. In the meantime, please add the resources and setup needs that you require into the Setup/Comments box at the bottom of the Request Event page.
A: The Setup/Comments box is a required field. There is a default message that states “No setup needs requested”. If you do not have any special setup or resource needs, please keep this message there and add any other comments. This confirms with the Events Office that they do not need to contact you for setup requirements. It may speed your event’s approval process.
A: If you have specific instructions that you would like posted with your event, please add these to the Setup/Comments box and highlight them as specific instructions intended for event details in the online posting.
A: R25 greatly facilitates this. Click on the “Locations” link in the header menu bar to view the events currently scheduled for the space. Once you find the space and date/time you want, double click in that space on the Locations grid. If you have already logged in to My Requests, you will be taken immediately to the My Requests page. If not, you will be prompted to log in.
On the My Requests page, the date, time, and Specific Space will be populated for you. You will need to fill in the remaining information. If you have any comments, please add those to the Setup/Comments box.
A: Once an event has been submitted, you will need to contact the Events Office to make changes to it. Please refer to the Event number in emails or via the phone at 503-943-7523.
