The University’s public online directory (www.up.edu/dir) contains faculty and staff contact information. Each person has a personal profile page that includes a photo, basic contact information, office hours, and an abbreviated vitae. The directory inside PilotsUP also contains student information. Directory information comes from information in Banner. If you would like to add or correct information, please contact your department’s Banner administrator, the Office of the Provost, or human resources.
Personal/Professional Web Pages
Faculty professional web pages can be created using the publishing tools in PilotsUP or manually via HTML in faculty.up.edu. If you would like to create and maintain professional web page(s), we can assist you with either option. Please contact the Office of Web & Administrative Systems for more information or browse details under PilotsUP - Creating Communities or Campus Web.
Using the Web for Active Technology Teaching
A domain and webserver support is provided for faculty to incorporate web technology into their curriculum. If you require the use of a web server for your teaching (students building web pages or applications, etc.), we offer this support under teaching.up.edu. Please contact the Office of Web & Administrative Systems to secure a web folder. For more information, please see Campus Web.
